Your Profile:

The Head of Sales will have proven experience in the complete sales channel and be confident with completing this from engaging customers through to negotiations and after sales. You must encompass high energy and be able to generate excitement for your team of National Account Managers and Customer Service Manager.

As an individual you will have excellent communication skills but not overuse technical jargon. You will have a proven sales track record and be able to conduct administrative tasks such as business plans, bids/tenders, and maintain customer information.

Our client operates within the manufacturing and distribution sectors and ideally looking for experience in similar industry however may be open to considering others if they can display the skills and aptitude required for the position.

The Role

  • The Head of Sales will report into the General Manager and will be responsible for the development of existing accounts but will intrinsically be responsible for developing and growing vertical markets.
  • Meeting and ideally exceeding profitability to meet company goals, building new relationships with customers.
  • You will create a positive and energetic work environment supporting your 4 National Account Managers and Customer Service Manager with rebate returns, price increases and negotiations.
  • The Head of Sales will be building upon traditional supply and direct supply. This environment is extremely steady and requires someone who is keen to take on more senior responsibility and grow new markets.
  • Engage internally with all departments in the business, gaining value feedback for customers.

The Person

  • Exposure to the whole sales channel
  • Generate new business and identify growth in existing accounts
  • Comfortable with rebate retainers and price increase negotiation
  • Understand business and customer objectives and requirements
  • Able to deliver to deadlines and have strong negotiation skills
