Service Engineer - Worldwide Travel
Service engineer (medium speed diesel engines)
UK based - travelling overseas North America, South Africa Europe, North Africa, West Africa,
OTE ranging from 40k -60k + Expenses and Transport
As the service engineer you will have proven experience of maintaining equipment within a marine or power generation environment or power generation sets.
The service engineer will have a proven track record of customer service and have experience in liaising with customers such as Chief engineers or General managers of sites based on land where gensets would need to be maintained.
The successful Service engineer will also be well experienced in medium speed or high-speed engines and be competent both electrically and mechanical. Experience of medium speed diesel engineer is a requirement knowledge of Wartsila, Bergen, MAN, or Allen’s diesels would be an advantage.
This role would suit an ex marine engineer or REME or NAVY engineer or someone who has worked for similar organisations within the power generation industry who will have experience of medium speed diesel engines.
As the Service engineer you will be responsible for strip down, repair and maintenances of diesel engines on shore. Working from weekly job sheets and managing and controlling maintenance schedules for customers and been the maintenance support on site for any issues in relations to the maintenance both planned, warranty and breakdown you will be responsible for sites in North America, South Africa Europe, North Africa, West Africa,. You will also be responsible for all relevant administration related to the works carried out as set below.
Planning and execution of practical site activities as directed by Site Resource Administrator or General manager
Completion of Contract reports in accordance with the specified format and timeliness procedures

When working from the UK you will be home based but from time to time will be expected to go to head office
