£50,000-£55,000 per annum

Your Profile:
As HSE health Safety & Environment” Manager you will have experience from working in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment, hold a NEBOSH certification and have good experience with BS EN ISO 14001 & 18001.
It would be of tremendous value if you hold a IOSH/MIOSH certification, but not essential. You should be a competent, organised and disciplined person able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You must be able to follow and maintain working standards, procedures & processes whilst using your own initiative to provide support to the management teams. You will also be able to promote continuous improvement philosophy.
The Role:
As the HSE “Health, Safety & Environment” Manager you will be to implement and manage nationally agreed HSE systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Act as an advocate for health and safety and promoting a continuous improvement culture
Work with the Leadership team to develop and implement site wide initiatives to embed behavioural safety and best practice approaches
• Lead and coordinate site processes, ALARP, PUWER, RA’s, MS’s and COSHH, ensuring compliance and providing advice, training, and support
• Maintain the site’s OHSAS18001 H&S certificate and ISO14004:2015 environmental management system and certificate
• Manage the TOP’s process – conduct and record visits and actions, completion reviews and site / central reporting
• Monitor and record accidents, incidents and near misses providing support where necessary with investigation reports and ensuing actions, as well as monthly KPI reporting
• Responsible for environmental data reporting on a monthly basis for site and Group Environmental
• Oversee the site Contractor Database – including approval of Contracting companies, monitoring adherence to site Contractor rules, producing monthly performance report
• Manage the site budget allocated to Safety What we need from you:
• Knowledge of SHE legislation
• Previous Audit experience and ability to lead internal and external health, safety & environment auditing teams • Willing to be flexible and work outside office hours when required
